Astronaut Diapers soars to the third most searched for term on Google

To most of us that term as of a week or so ago was unheard of to most individuals. Now its like a common household word. I’m still kind of partial to the term I coined “Astronaut Diapers…don’t leave earth without them.” How is this going to effect your longtail approach to business? Probalby not at all. But at the time it seemed like something that needed to be written about so I did. While this blog is just starting to take off I expect that the long tail movement in general is much more intrenched in business than we even realize. Websites are using this concept extensively when they do business. The main reason is that they can. Brick and Motar companies can’t but online retailers with there virtual store shelves and warehouses can take full advantage of the longtail. With zero cost of stocking the shelves why not fill your virtual store with as much as you can. It makes sense and if you follow the principal in the long run the longtail will make you money.
