Long Tail and the trend that was started by Chris Anderson
While certaintly not an expert by any means I find the theory and works of Chris Anderson to be brilliant. What he has done by opening this subject is to basically make me (hopefully you as well) rethink how you do business. It is nothing short of genius and I just hope that you understnad the full impact of what he has to say and how to apply what he so elegantly makes as the case for the “long tail”. I know that what he has said has changed my way of thinking dramatcially and caused me to pause, no stop, for a while and evaluate where I am and where I am going. Hopefully it will have the same effect on you and your buisness. As a marketing person I find it super compelling to step back and look at what we are doing. Up until now we have been missing the boat in a number of key areas. What Anderson has done is allow us to look more objectively at what we were doing and make the neccessary changes to dramatically effect our business. In this blog we will be sharing what we are doing with our many business opportunities and how we are making changes based on the “long tail”. We will also attempt to capture how the changes actually are improving our monetization process when it comes to blogs and websites.
